Fresco-Le-Raye Fresco was named by reader Alan Shaw, Holt Road, Liverpool after an appeal for a name in episode 93. Alan received a giant plastic warthog. Fresco-Le-Raye became a hero of the strip, with his own fan club. Fresco became a small superstar, with fan mail, appearances on the front cover of the paper, even having chapters of his book published and cards. Of all the characters, he was one of the favourites and perhaps best-remembered. At one stage he even had his own problem corner  and appeared in a seasonal pantomine. In the late 1970s, JEO tried to sell a daily Fresco-Le-Raye strip. Some of these rare items can be seen from here. Fresco was, of course, also the superhero Superdinosaur.
